I am aft to think that this is quite far from England, which is deeply regretful as it is an hour until afternoon tea. [This however, does carry a small tinge of genuine regret.]

[And then added, almost like an afterthought:]
Also, if you would happen to come upon a young boy of short stature, and of an irritable disposition please inform me. I fear that he may be inconvenienced in such a place, which is also regrettable. [Though it sounds like he regrets the tea being late, more so than the comfort of his charge…]
